Keith Graduated and Happy Christmas!

A few weeks ago, Keith graduated from his first masters at Samford in Music Education! Woo Hoo Master Keith! I love my man! So, so proud!

Also, this should be my last post for a little while because today is my last day at work before the Christmas break. It's kind of funny how I'm having to work and there are only 4 of us here in the office. Ha, oh well. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and that's all I care about! Happy Christmas to all of you non-existent readers of mine! I'll be posting again after the start of the New Year!

Aren't these lyrics just so beautiful? It is a song from the musical "Into the Woods." My mom used to play this (along with thousands of other songs) for her students as they sang in their lessons (in our home-while I grew up). I am so glad she has retired from teaching voice lessens but part of me will always miss hearing the music flow through the house at all times... even when I was trying to focus on my homework or if the singer was less then okay... haha Such wonderful memories. Plus, Mom now has more energy to sing when she wants to and play the piano when she feels moved. I love my Mom. She is truly amazing. I pray to be like her... she's also a knockout! I hope I look like her when I'm older :o)

Children Will Listen Lyrics:
How do you say to your child in the night
Nothing is all black but then nothing is all white?
How do you say it will all be alright
When you know that it mightn't be true?
What do you do?

Careful the things you say,
Children will listen.
Careful the things you do,
Children will see.
And learn.
Children may not obey,
But children will listen.
Children will look to you
For which way to turn,
To learn what to be.
Careful before you say,
"listen to me."
Children will listen.

Careful the wish you make,
Wishes are children.
Careful the path they take,
Wishes come true,
Not free.
Careful the spell you cast,
Not just on children.
Sometimes the spell may last
Past what you can see
And turn against you...

Careful the tale you tell.
That is the spell.
Children will listen...

How can you say to a child who's in flight,
Don't slip away and I won't hold so tight?
What can you say that no matter how slight won't be misunderstood?
What do you leave to your child when you're dead
Only what ever you put in it's head
Things that your mother and father had said
Which were left to them too.
Careful what you say, children will listen
Careful you do it too, children will see and learn.
Oh!

Guide them but step away,
Children will glisten.
Temper with what is true
And children will turn,
If just to be free.
Careful before you say,
"listen to me."
Children will listen...
Children will listen!
Children, children will listen

I'm loving me some Christmas!

Here we are in front of our condo watching the Homewood Christmas Parade! We normally sleep through the beginning until we hear the drums in the Homewood Patriot Band. This year Keith's cousins and their adorable little girls came to watch it with us so we had no chance of missing it. It was sooo much fun! I love Christmas!

Fa la la la laaaaa la laaa laaa laaa!
