Yesterday was the first official day of Fall and it was well into the 90s. There's B'ham for ya. I remember as a kid when the first day of Fall was actually cool. And those crazy Conservatives say there's no such thing as Global Warming. Whatever! They're obviously not from the Ham.
Even with the heat, I'm totally stoked that it's almost October! I'm starting it all off by taking a Girls Retreat Beach Vaca with my Mom and sister! I'll take lots of pictures and blog on it when I get back. I'm hoping this becomes an annual trip for us three. We've never had a girls trip like this and we've needed it for a long time! Plus, Allison's last day at Southern Progress is the day before we leave. I'm thinking this weekend will be a nice way to start the new chapter in her life. So bring on the Sand and Margaritas!
On "Condo" matters, Keith and I finally closed on our re-financing! Turns out, we're not saving as much as we had hoped but it's still almost $200 a month less that what we were paying. Plus we bought some more home insurance that we were needing. All in all, our rate is lower and we're much happier since we'll be staying here until the market gets better. Who knows when that will be. I'm not too stressed about it. Obviously since I can't stop thinking of how to redecorate! I've already painted our bedroom this amazingly dark turquoise that keeps the room pitch black at night! It's so lovely! I'll take a pic soon and show you all (non-existent readers ha!)
To end my post for now, I just saw on MSNBC.com's website some adorable "Animal Tracks" photos. They're titled "Are you my Mommy?" Nature is full of so many beautiful surprises.
Enjoy,
Abigail
